Open the submission formSubmission Guidelines
The submissions are to be on the themes that align with the mandate of the Centre. A broad outline of the mandate of the Centre is available in the “About Us” section of the website.
The Blog does not ordinarily publish submissions dealing exclusively with questions of dispute resolution or its mechanisms, including civil litigation, arbitration, and mediation. However, submissions addressing dispute resolution may be considered where the discussion is substantively connected to, or arises in the context of, a broader commercial, corporate, financial, or business law issue.
Submissions are expected to adopt an analytical and critical approach to the subject matter. Purely descriptive articles, including pieces that merely summarise or recapitulate existing legal developments, will not be considered for publication.
Submission Procedure
The Blog accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Submissions may be co-authored by a maximum of two (2) authors. Upon receipt, each submission shall be subjected to a rigorous editorial and peer-review process. The Editorial Board shall communicate its decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a submission to the author(s) within thirty (30) days of receipt.
The Blog does not permit the simultaneous or subsequent cross-publication of submissions across other platforms. Accordingly, submissions must not have been previously published, or be under consideration for publication, elsewhere.
All submissions must be made exclusively through the designated Google Form. Submissions received through any other medium shall not be considered. Manuscripts must be submitted in either .doc or .docx format and the file must be named “Title_CCLGFL Blog”. The title must succinctly capture the essence of the submission and must not exceed ten (10) words. To facilitate anonymous editorial review, the file name must not contain the name or university of the author(s).
Content and Formatting Requirements
Authors shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all statements of fact, opinions, views, and other assertions contained in their submissions. Submissions must not contain any material that is offensive, abusive, derogatory, or potentially defamatory.
All submissions must constitute the original work of the contributor(s). Each submission shall be subject to plagiarism and AI-detection screening. Where a submission is found to contain substantial plagiarism or to be otherwise unoriginal, it shall be summarily rejected. The CCLGFL reserves the right to take such further action against the author(s) as it may deem appropriate in cases of plagiarism, misrepresentation, or other violations of these requirements.
Submissions must comprise a minimum of 1,000 words and must not exceed 1,500 words. Manuscripts must be formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing and 6-point spacing before and 6-point spacing after each paragraph.
All references must be incorporated as hyperlinks within the body of the submission. Authors are expected to provide hyperlinks to all relevant supporting materials and applicable legal texts, where available, to facilitate ease of access and verification by readers.
The metadata of the submitted file, as well as the body of the submission, must not disclose the identity of the author(s) in any manner. In particular, the author’s name, institutional affiliation, university, or any other identifying information must not appear in the submission or its metadata.
Editorial Discretion and Rights
The decision regarding publication shall rest solely with the Centre. Any relaxation or waiver of the submission requirements shall be at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
Upon publication, all literary rights in the submission shall stand transferred to the Centre for Corporate Law, Governance and Financial Laws (CCLGFL).
